Topic: Closing Charleston Harbor

Bill Jayne

Bill Jayne will lead the June Round Table discussion focusing on the Charleston campaigns of 1863. Although the Union succeeded in choking off most blockade running, powerful naval and land campaigns failed to retake Ft. Sumter and the city where the war began. Discussion will focus on the reasons for failure .
